When is it worth using such columns?
Most often, lowering and raising columns (also called angled columns) are used in demanding locations. The word "demanding" here means, first of all, difficult access to the column at its entire height. This access is necessary because, like all anodised aluminium columns, lowering and raising columns must be subjected to regular maintenance - to maintain their high durability (i.e. at least 50 years in the case of ROSA columns).
However, there are places where it is impossible to reach the column using heavy equipment from the ground, including:

Division of lowering and raising columns:
Columns lowered manually
This type of solution is most often used with columns of 7 meters maximum height. Therefore, it works well in parks or narrow city streets, where external lighting is located lower, and the access of specialised heavy equipment would
be difficult or even impossible.
be difficult or even impossible.
Columns lowered mechanically
These are a type of columns that can be used in the same places as manually lowered columns, but not only. Since the maximum height of a mechanically lowered column is 11.5 meters, they are often used, among others, in sports facilities and on ski slopes.
Manual lowering is simple, relatively quick and consists of 3 stages:
Simple tools are enough to operate this type of articulated column, and lowering it is easy because aluminium is a light material. Therefore, the entire process can be carried out by one person from start to finish.
When choosing a mechanically lowered articulated column, you must also choose type of drive: manual or with a drill.
Regardless of the selected drive, the entire process is similar:
Articulated columns in the ROSA offer
